Lucky Khambouneheuang, a 2016 Fellow in interdisciplinary experience and scholarship, is a senior in Emory College, majoring in biology with a minor in science, culture, and society. An Emory-Georgia Tech Petit Undergraduate Research Scholar, Lucky is currently researching aortic valve calcification in the Jo lab. He joined the fellowship because of his interest in broadening his specialized science background and exploring the liberal arts. He served as one of the event coordinators for the Best of Emory: Course Highlights mini-lecture series and is currently a staff member of Volunteer Emory, where he leads weekly service trips focused on health care and education in the greater Atlanta area. Next year, he will be attending the University of St Andrews as a Bobby Jones Scholar, where he will pursue a master of global health implementation.
